Automated Production Test Station

Description

The ANSTI Demand Regulator Automated Production Test Station is a fully automatic facility specifically designed to combine the final assembly and pressure settings of demand regulators with a dry 164 ft (max 262 ft) test to the maximum ventilation requirements of EN250. The system is designed around a small test vessel and is fully integrated with the ANSTI Compudat computerised data acquisition system. The computer is programmed to automatically identify regulators passing / failing the test criteria at a fixed ventilation rate of 62.5 litres / min. The test vessel is fully guarded and fitted with a quick release lid system and pre-set automatic depth control to ensure safe but rapid production test times. Typically, a complete test cycle will take about 90 seconds, which includes a surface test followed by the depth test to 164 ft (max 262 ft). Two stations can be operated by one person, this allow 100% production testing at a throughput of up to 80 Demand Regulators per hour.
